About Azeb

Azeb M. Freitas is a multi-hyphenate creative professional originally from the Greater Boston area, currently residing in New York City. She is a classically trained dancer, film photographer, model, poet, podcast producer and MC with a mission to create, connect and transform the future through her work. Recently, she has been exploring holistic healing by facilitating creative wellness sessions based in art therapy practices and hosting salons to foster community.

The Ethiopian-American earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Business and Arts Administration from Simmons University with a focus in organizational studies and music history. During her studies and post-grad she co-founded and collaboratively scaled organizations such as MAAP, Habesha Networks Boston, Crimson Community Mentorship Program, OneLeaf Corp and The Freitas Effect Podcast.

The formerly known arts educator worked with the Everett High School Music Department, Boston Ballet and Citi Spotlights Teen Leadership program through the Boch Center for Performing Arts for several years. As a freelance artist, she intentionally curates mixed media experiences and is eager to engage with creatives on new projects.
